The Founder, President and CEO of the Jordanian Business Development Center (BDC), Nayef Steitieh graduated from the University of Jordan with a BA degree in Business Administration with a Minor in Political Science, in 1989.
Steitieh also received advanced professional training and education at Harvard Kennedy School - Education Program, 2010, International Trade Center of International Labour Organization,Turin, Italy, 2007, and the International Trade Center, Geneva, Switzerland, 2005.
Throughout his career, Steitieh has held many notable positions including Committee member of the Economic Consultative Council to His Majesty King Abdullah II, May 2000 – Jan 2001, consulting committee member for drafting the Cooperative Agreement of the IESC-USAID Fund (which led to establishing the JUSBP Project), member of the Harvard Arab Alumni Association, on the board of directors for Jordan Investment Board, member of Jordan's Higher Education Council, Oct 2009–Jul 2010, member of the Ministry of Public Sector Development's steering committee for development and initiatives, and a trustee for Jordan Higher Academy for Technical Education.
Steitieh is the Co-Founder, President and CEO of the Jordan – U.S. Business Partnership Project (JUSBP), 2004 – 2005, and President of the Jordan- Canadian Business Association (JOCABA).
Steitieh has a 22 years of experience in creating and implementing ambitious projects and initiatives with a focus on youth employability and entrepreneurship development. He created the national ‘Maharat’ Employment and Training Program to provide Jordanian young people with knowledge and practical skills to enter the workplace, and encourage and support entrepreneurship.
