I'm a 4th year Arabic Language and Literature student at the School of Arts.  I always wanted to study Arabic Literature to become a teacher, and I've always wanted to achieve my dream at the university which my father graduated from: the University of Jordan.

When I began my study at UJ, I noticed that there were a large number of international students from all around the world who came to UJ to study Arabic as well, which was really inspiring to me, so I've decided to give a hand to those students who were struggling in learning the language.

I am also a member at the foreign student committee which is affiliated to the Deanship of Student Affairs and is tasked with assisting international students and integrating them into the university community and various activities and events.

As part of helping those non-Arabic students, I tried to inform them about the Arabic and Islamic cultures and the traditions of Jordan and the Jordanian society. And I have likewise learnt so much from students who came from Turkey, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Senegal, Ghana, Sweden, Macedonia, and Kosovo. For me, it was amazing to be able to deal with students from all around the world while at my home country.

I was glad to have the chance to participate with international students in organizing many activities including a play in Arabic (Fusha) we presented together. Also the University supported organizing an Arabic speech contest for students who are speakers of other languages, and the international students' conference.

I'm so proud of this student community and this university, and I wish the best for all international students at UJ.
