A delegation from the University of Jordan (UJ), headed by the Vice President for Training and Community Service, Prof. Musa Lozi visited the tomb of the late Wasfi al-Tal at his home in the area of Sweileh.
The delegation was also composed of the Dean of Student Affairs, Director of the Center of Consultation and twenty-two students representing different faculties of the University, accompanied by the supervisor of the Department of Student Activities.
The delegation read Surat Al-Fatiha on the spirit of martyr and laid a wreath at his tomb.
“Wasfi al-Tal was a national leader filled with a sense of justice, dignity and freedom, he led revolutionary projects in management and national sustainable development”, Al Lozi said in a speech on this occasion.
It is noteworthy the late Wasfi was one of the leading political figures of Jordan, he served as a prime minister for three separate terms - in the years 1962, 1965 and 1970 - he was assassinated on November 28, 1971 in Cairo, while he was attending the meeting of the joint Arab Defense Council.
