| Hamdi Mango Awards for Distinguished Researchers and Students Announced | | Wednesday, July 16, 2014 | | + font More | - font less | |  The 2013 Hamdi Mango Awards for Distinguished Researchers and Students were announced during the Fourth Scientific Day of the Hamdi Mango Center for Scientific Research (HMCSR) at The University of Jordan. The awards are granted annually through a generous donation from Mr. Hassan Hamdi Mango to encourage researchers continue their efforts in enriching the different fields of science. The awards are granted in three areas: Science, Medicine and Graduate Studies.
The Science Award in Science, Engineering and Information technology was granted to Dr. Fuad Kittaneh from UJ’s Department of Mathematics, shared equally with Dr. Omar Falah from Jordan University of Science and Technology. The Medical Award in Pharmacy, Dentistry and Rehabilitation Sciences was granted to Dr. Yasser Al-Bustanji from UJ’s Faculty of Pharmacy, shared equally with Dr. Karim Zou'bi from Jordan University of Science and Technology, while the Graduate Studies Award was granted to Heba Fathi, a Ph.D. student at the Faculty of Agriculture, and Latifa Dardas, an M.A. student at the Faculty of Nursing; both from UJ |  |
