The Faculty of Educational Sciences at the University of Jordan (UJ) is holding a workshop on Wednesday titled "Towards an educational vision for the advancement of education in Jordan."
This workshop comes as a response to President Tarawneh’s directions to research this year’s results of the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination (Tawjihi) summer session as the overall passing rate declined to 40 percent, compared to 56.3 for last year.
This workshop will research aspects of the educational process, particularly curricula, examinations and teaching methods, said Prof. Bassam Al-Omari, Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences.
Deans of Educational Sciences faculties in Jordan, scholars, MoE officials and concerned individuals were invited to participate in the workshop.
