The Board of Trustees of The University of Jordan under the chairmanship of Prof. Khalid Touqan, and upon the recommendation of President Prof. Ekhleif Tarawneh, decided to go for academic reshuffle. Decision comes into effect on the 7th of September.

The board decided on Wednesday to appoint Prof. Hani Dmour as the President of the Aqaba Branch, Prof. Musa Al Lozi as Vice President for Humanities Faculties Affairs, Prof. Imad Salah as Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs. All of Prof. Azmi Mahafzah and Prof. Mohammed Walid Batsh will continue as Vice President for Scientific Faculties Affairs and Vice President for Scientific Research and Quality respectively.

The board also decided to institute the position of Vice President for Investment and Development. Prof. Ghaleb Sweis has been assigned to this new position.

In addition, Prof. Abeer Al Bawab has been appointed as the new Dean of Scientific Research, Prof. Bassam Al Omari as the new Dean for Graduate Studies, and Dr. Ahmed Al Owadi as the Acting Dean of Students Affairs.

The board decided to assign the position of Dean of the Faculty of Science to Prof. Shaher Momani, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages​​ to Prof. Hussein Yaghi, Dean of Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II School of International Studies to Prof. Faisal Al-Rfouh, and Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology to Prof. Nazzal Armouti, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy to Prof. Rula Darwish, Dean of the Faculty of Rehabilitation Sciences to Prof. Farihan Barghouti, Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences to Prof. Nayel Al-Shara'h. Prof. Mohammad Nassar is the new Acting Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design, and Prof. Ibrahim Al Jazy as the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Law.

Moreover, the board approved the re-appointment of Prof. Mohammad Qatawneh as the Dean of King Abdullah II School for Information Technology, Prof. Waleed Al-Rahahleh as the Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education, and Prof. Akel Mansour as the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture.

Regarding The University of Jordan - Aqaba, the board decided to appoint Prof. Evon Abu-Taieh as the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology and Systems, and Prof. Ziad Alrawadieh as the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality.
