The University of Jordan made tangible progress on the 2014/2015 QS World University Rankings falling into the category of the top 651-700 universities and is around eight points away from being among the top 500 universities in the world.

The QS ranking depends on six criteria:  academic reputation (40%), volume of students to faculty size (20%), world citations (20%), graduates' performance and readiness for the job market (employer reputation) (10%), proportion of foreign students (5%), and the proportion of foreign staff (5%).

The results show that UJ advanced (18.8) points on the proportion of foreign students to rank (307), and (8) points on the employer reputation to rank (345) worldwide.  UJ was also ranked (+401) on all other categories.

This progress is due to a vigorous action plan designed to improve UJ’s scientific research, teaching methods, community service, administration, internationality, quality assurance and infrastructure.
