Prof. Talal A. Aburjai, former dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, was recently honored by the faculty in recognition of his contributions to the faculty and academia during his reign as Dean.

The ceremony was attended by UJ President Prof. Ekhleif Tarawneh, Prof. Rula Darwish, current dean of the faculty, and faculty and staff members.

In his speech during the ceremony, Tarawneh commended the efforts of the former Dean, who worked hard to serve the faculty and develop its status until it surpassed its counterparts in Jordan and became a "source of pride" for the country and UJ. 

Tarawneh also stressed the need for more concerted efforts by all members of the faculty to maintain the good work.

From her part, Darwish expressed the faculty’s appreciation for Aburjai’s contributions under the support of UJ President, promising, on behalf of herself and the staff, to continue putting forth efforts to attain more achievements.

Aburjai expressed gratitude for the honoring, stressing his deep belonging to the Faculty of Pharmacy.

At the end of the ceremony Tarawneh handed over the university shield to Aburjai.
