Samsung Academy, Ultrasound Laboratory Inaugurated

UJ marked the opening of two new facilities on Thursday, the Samsung Academy at King Abdullah II School of Information Technology and Samsung Ultrasound laboratory at the Faculty of Medicine.

 

The inauguration took place in the presence of UJ President, Prof. Ekhleif Tarawneh and Samsung Electronics Levant President, Mr. Bumsuk Hong.

 

Dean of King Abdullah II School of Information Technology, Prof. Muhammad Qatawneh commended collaboration with Samsung aimed at providing practical training opportunities for UJ students.

 

In turn, Hong pointed to Samsung's successful cooperation experience with UJ in the field of student training, hoping that the Academy and ultrasound laboratories will facilitate the student's acquisition of  advanced scientific skills and techniques.

 

The 400-square meter facility, comprises three parts, the research and development sections, and the services center. The Services Center provides non-university individuals with mobile devices and AV equipments maintenance courses.

 

The Ultrasound laboratory have been equipped with the latest medical devices to provide medical students with sound practical training and serve the needs of JUH in emergency cases.
