The Anatomy Labs at the Faculty of Medicine provide, both undergraduate and postgraduate, students specializing in health and medical sciences a unique learning experience.

UJ realizes that there is no substitute for the hands-on experience that students can gain in the anatomy lab, hence, it has been keen to provide students with vast, modern and well equipped labs.

Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Darwish Badran, stated that 4 anatomy labs were established at the foundation of the faculty, adding that a 5th lab was established later on.

According to Badran, each lab is equipped with state-of-the-art equipments and resembles a hospital’s real operating room.

“At the lab, students feel as if they are practicing medicine in a real operating room” Badran said.

The labs are equipped with surveillance cameras, and comprise all the needed instruments such as autopsy tables, natural human skeletons, computer anatomy programs, in addition to human anatomy torso models, anatomy charts and info graphics, and other educational aiding equipments.

It worth mentioning that the labs have six cadavers, which have been imported from abroad at a cost of half a million dinars, as well as 62 body organs for use in medical education.
