Five research projects submitted by UJ faculty members have been selected for funding by the Scientific Research Support Fund (SRSF).
The selected projects received approximately JOD 248.000.
The five projects are:
"The Relationship between Urinary Megalin Levels and Vitamin D Deficiency in Patients With Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, and the Effect of Vitamin D Supplement on Urinary Megalin," submitted by Dr. Amal Al Akour.
"Enhanced Oral Bioavailability of Insulin Using PLGA nanoparticles: in Vivo Evaluation of Toxicity Therapeutic", submitted by Dr. Samer Abulateefeh.
"Design of Polymeric Micro needles for Dermal Delivery of Antibiotics", submitted by Dr. Sherif Abdelghany.
"Polymeric Nanoparticles With Encapsulated Gold Nanoparticles: Towards Sensitive Quantification and Visualization of Pharmaceutical Polymeric Nanocarriers ", submitted by Dr. Alaaldin Alkilany.
"Biological Evaluation of in Vitro Inhibitory Effects of Some Medicinal Plants of the Families Asteraceae, Lamiaceae and Papaveraceae Native to Jordan and Synthetic Compounds on Lipase, DPPVI and Protein Glycation", submitted by Dr. Violet Cassapra.
In total, 11 projects from various universities in Jordan received the SRSF’s support for this round.
It's noteworthy that SRSF is affiliated with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It supports projects in basic science, energy, water, environment, technology, as well as humanities and social sciences.
