Forum Discusses Boosting Youth Participation in Political Life

A national forum was organized at Prince Al Hussein Bin Abdullah II School of International Studies on Sunday addressed youth participation in the political life of Jordan.

 

Guests Speaking at the Forum includes the Secretary General of the Ministry of Political and Parliamentary Affairs Lena Turfan, MP Wafaa Bani Mustafa, and the Secretary General of Jordanian National Commission for Women Dr. Salma Nims.

 

The  presenters tackled  discussion papers  launched by His Majesty King Abdullah II which aim of these papers is to facilitate a national conversation around our reform roadmap and democratic transformation.

 

They pointed to the Importance of Political Participation of youth to contribute to the national development program, which would reflect positively on the development, prosperity, and progress of the Jordanian state.

 

The forum was inaugurated by Dean of Student Affairs in presence of Vice President Prof. Mohammed Walid Batsh .

 

The Dean expressed UJ’s keenness to enable young people to participate actively in political life.

 

Interventions by the attending students intended to display their views on how to ensure greater youth participation.
