About 50 students from various Jordanian universities showcased their innovative ideas at the 8th National Technology Parade (NTP), which kicked off at UJ on Wednesday April 29, 2015.

The parade, which was inaugurated by UJ Vice President Prof. Azmi Mahafzah, included innovative graduation projects in the Engineering and Information Technology sectors.

Head of Jordan Engineering Association Abdullah Obeidat said the parade is an important opportunity for university students to develop their scientific research and studies, expressing the Association’s full support for student activities.

Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the parade Dr. Iyad Jafar said the participating projects will be judged by special committees,  where two awards will be allocated for each theme.

Jafar also pointed out that “the highest participation rate was by UJ”, as 13 of the participating projects were by UJ students.

Held since 2008, NTP is intended to create an atmosphere that allows undergraduates to demonstrate their creativity and present the outcomes before the job market.
