Workshop at UJ on Modern Scientific Research Approaches

The Higher Committee on the Scientific Research Award for University Students organized a workshop on the modern approaches of scientific research targeted students who wish to participate in the Award’s 17th session.

 

The Award aims, according to Dr. Bassam Al Omary, Dean of  Academic Research and Member of the Higher Committee on UJ’s behalf, at developing the spirit of scientific research among university students and encourage them.

 

The workshop was delivered by Dr. Nitham Barakat, Professor of Political Sciences at Al Yarmouk and Al-Zaytoonah universities, and Dr. Ferial Abu Awad, Professor of Educational Sciences at UJ.

 

The workshop’s three sessions  introduced the importance of scientific research, types of scientific research; both quantitative and qualitative, and there classifications according to curricula, designs, tools and statistical methods used to test hypotheses and answer research questions.

 

Dua’a Abu Shandi, Coordinator of the Award, Middle East Studies Centre, delivered a presentation on the Award. Abu Shandi displayed the Award’s terms and conditions, in addition to themes covered this year.

 

The Scientific Research Award for University Students is granted for students at the master’s and bachelor level and held this year in collaboration with the Middle East Studies Center, the University of Jordan, Philadelphia University, Amman Arab University, University of Science and Technology and Applied Science University.

 

It is noteworthy that the deadline for receipt of research papers is end of August.
