The 8th Annual Conference of the Faculty of Dentistry Kicked off on campus on Wednesday, May 27, under the theme “Dental Education in the Arab World: A look at the Future”.
The conference is organized in collaboration with the Scientific Research Support Fund (SRSF), and the Association of Arab Universities (AArU).
The conference provides two days of robust discussions and open style sessions on methods and strategies related to quality improvement of dental education as well as explore the applicability and integration of the new methods and concepts on dental education to our existing curriculum.
“UJ believes in creating a balance between theoretical and practical aspects in the educational process,” said UJ President, Prof. Ekhleif Tarawneh who inaugurated the event.
Tarawneh also commended the faculty’s latest achievements, particularly, the recognition of the Association for Dental Education in Europe (ADEE).
On the side line of the conference’s preliminary session, Tarawneh presented honorary Shields to a number of deans of dentistry faculties in the Arab world and abroad, and sponsors of the conference. He also inaugurated an exhibition dedicated to Dental products and equipments, bringing together national and international dental manufacturers and dealers.
