UJ President Prof. Ehkleif Tarawneh confirmed that UJ is continuing along the path towards excellence and distinction through an academic vision that appreciates outstanding academic achievement and potential.
Scientific progress is based on research that is linked with industry and service sectors, he also stressed during UJ’s 50th graduation ceremony.
Tarawneh revealed that UJ looks forward to offer tens of academic excellence scholarships to high achieving doctoral and master students each semester, in addition to supporting student researches and turning them into projects of benefit to the university and society.
Following his speech, Tarawneh presented degree certificates to graduates of the faculties of medicine, dentistry, as well as graduates of master's and PhD programs.
Tarawneh also presented awards to distinguished faculty researchers and honored top graduating students and students who excelled in the university’s cultural, social, artistic, sports and volunteer activities.
This year, the university has awarded 6283 bachelor’s degrees, 359 Diploma degrees, 12 Higher Diploma degrees, and 1099 master’s degrees and 225 PhD degrees.
In addition to friends and families of graduates, the graduation ceremony was attended by senior government and military officials, and a number of heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Jordan.
