King Honors Professor Shaher Momani on 70th Independence Day

His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday awarded the University of Jordan (UJ) Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Science, Shaher Al Momani, the Order of King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein for Excellence of the Second Class.
 
The Royal medal was bestowed upon him for his academic contributions in physics and mathematics, and his nomination by the academic elite to receive the Nobel Prize in theoretical physics.
 
Al Momani received the prestigious medal during the official national celebration marking Jordan's 70th Independence Day.
 
The Professor of Mathematics was named among the world’s most influential scientific minds in 2014 and 2015.
 
He has been selected by the Center for World-Class Universities (CWCU) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) and the Highly Cited Researcher team at Thomson Reuters into the list of ‘Highly Cited Researchers’.
 
Al Momani has over 250 research papers published in international scientific journals, he is also an editor of over 30 journals.
