The Accreditation Commission on Colleges of Medicine (ACCM) has granted the University of Jordan (UJ) School of Medicine full unconditional accreditation for six year, according to the School’s Dean, Prof. Islam Massad.

“The school is the first to obtain this accreditation outside of the US and the Caribbean,” Prof. Massad said.

Earlier this year, a delegation from ACCM conducted a 4-day field visit to UJ to inspect the school and its affiliated facilities after a self evaluation report was filed by the school to ACCM.

The purpose of the visit was to inspect the school’s compliance with ACCM’s elements of accreditation (standards) including admissions, curriculum, educational goals, financial resources, facilities and equipment, management, and corporate organization.

The school has been found in compliance with ACCM’s standards, which confirms that our graduates are equipped with internationally benchmarked degrees.

Through international accreditation, the first and oldest medical school in Jordan aims to increase professional and educational opportunities for its students and graduates.
