The University of Jordan (UJ) Faculty of Arts and Design will be holding its first international conference during the period from 21 to 24 November under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Wijdan Al-Hashemi.

The conference will convene under the theme: "Arts against Terrorism and Extremism" and aims to highlight the role of Arts in renunciation of violence, and to encourage researchers and artists to continue to express one of the noble massages of Arts which is to promote peace and stability and reject extremist ideology.

The conference will comprise a variety of events including a student competition. The competition will cover a number of Arts fields including playwriting, lyric poetry and artwork.
