Global Movement of Moderates Foundation organized, in partnership with Majlis Perwakilan Mahasiswa Malaysia Jordan, a seminar dubbed “Countering Violent Extremism” at the University of Jordan (UJ) on Friday and Saturday, 25 and 26 November 2016.
The seminar is addressed to 500 Malaysian undergraduates in Jordan with the aim of deconstructing the theological foundations of extremism, especially those of Daesh’s propaganda targeting young people.
The young participants have the opportunity to share experiences and exchange views with the experts, scholar and practitioner in the field of religion and violent extremism.
The event was attended by the Malaysian Ambassador to Jordan Zakri Bin Jaafar.
