A delegation from the Department of Physics comprised of Dr. Hanan Sa'adeh and students Sara Aburugia, Islam Bazlamit and Aminah Eniyazi recently participated in a regional forum in Pakistan.

Held from 17 to 22 December 2016, the Fourth Regional Lab Immersion Program 2016 (RLIP 2016) took place in Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Lahore, Pakistan, and dealt with experimental physics.

Sa'adeh was invited to present a talk in the opening session of the RLIP about her experience in experimental physics in its two poles; teaching and research.

In her presentation, titled "Experimental Physics: An Artistic Life from Teaching to Research", Sa'adeh addressed some concrete examples of motivational techniques that restore fun and joy to the artistic life of experimental physics.

Moreover, Master student Sara Aburugia gave a presentation about using "Virtual Labs" in teaching introductory physics labs at UJ. Aburugia presented a case study that she performed in Physics Lab 112 as a volunteer teaching assistant to Dr. Sa'adeh.

Islam Bazlamit, a Bachelor Student and member of LAMBDA Physics Group at UJ, gave a presentation about "Ibn Al-Haytham's Camera Obscura at the University of Jordan", a student research project funded by the Deanship of Academic Research at UJ and supervised by Dr. Sa'adeh.

UJ was the only university to participate in this event from Jordan and the Arab world.
