Dean of Knight-Hennessy Scholars admission at the US Stanford University, Dr. Derrick Bolton, visited the University of Jordan (UJ) on Tuesday to examine aspects of cooperation between the two universities and introduce the scholarship program to UJ students.
In an information session organized by the Office International Relations at UJ, Bolton spoke about the program which aims to prepare a new generation of global leaders with the skills to address the increasingly complex challenges facing the world.
According to Bolton, each Knight-Hennessy Scholar will receive full financial support to pursue a degree in any of the 125 graduate programs at Stanford - from PhDs in education, engineering, humanities, and sciences to professional degrees like JD, MBA, MD, or MFA.
The event included a presentation covering Stanford University, the Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program, and the admission process.
On the sidelines of the lecture, Jordanian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Prof. Adel Tweissi alongside with UJ President Prof. Azmi Mahafzah discussed with the guest cooperation prospects with Stanford University.
