Graduation Ceremonies Continues Over the Weekend

Friday, June 7th, marked the graduation ceremonies of the Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Rehabilitation Sciences and Graduate Studies.
 
UJ President Prof. Azmi Mahafzah attended the ceremony which saw the graduation of a total of 1689 graduate and undergraduate students.
 
In his address, Mahafzah extended his hearty congratulations to the graduates and their parents on this achievement. "Today is a great day for all of you, it marks the culmination of years of hard work, determination and discipline," he told the students. 
 
Mahafzah also highlighted UJ's achievements and new plans aimed at reforming and improving some pedagogical aspects at the University.
 
The School of Medicine has graduated 197 physicians, according to the School's Dean, Prof. Nathir Obeidat.
 
Uttering his pride to graduate 119 students, Dean of the School of Dentistry Prof. Zaid Baqain commended the role of the School in turning-out qualified dentists.
 
Dean of the School of Graduate Studies Prof. Kamal Al-Hadidi said 899 students received their postgraduate degrees during the ceremony, revealing that the college oversees more than 122 Master's and 37 PhD programs, in addition to 17 graduate medical and dental specialty programs.
 
Dean of the School of Nursing, Dr. Manar Al-Nabulsi, said 115 students have graduated this semester, calling upon the graduates to practice their profession with utmost honesty and integrity.
 
The ceremony took place at UJ stadium and commenced with the entry of graduates and faculty members on the sound of the university anthem and amidst a remarkable presence of the graduates' families and friends.
