The Ambassador of India in Amman Shubhdarshini Tripathi on Tuesday visited the School of Foreign Languages at the University of Jordan (UJ) and met with its dean Prof. Mahmoud Al-Shura'a.

The meeting focused on increasing bilateral academic and cultural relations and the opportunities for the exchange of experiences and knowledge between UJ and higher education institutions in India.

The two sides also discussed the possibility of concluding a memorandum of understanding to establish a chair for Indian studies in the Department of Asian Languages at the School.

The meeting was attended by all of the heads of the departments of Asian Languages, European Languages, and French Language and Literature.
