UJ, Hamburg University of Technology Develop Joint PhD Program

The University of Jordan (UJ) Vice President for Scientific Faculties Affairs Prof. Zaid Baqain on Tuesday met with Prof. Martin Kaltschmitt, Head of Institute of Environmental Technology and Energy Economics at Hamburg University of Technology.
The meeting tackled procedures and requirements for establishing a joint doctoral program in the field of renewable energy at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at UJ.
The joint program, which is supported by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), comes in response to regional and global market needs and will enable students to spend three years at Hamburg University.
The meeting was attended by Dean of the School of Engineering Prof. Ghaleb Abbasi, Dean of the School of Graduate Studies Dr. Mohammed Al-Sherida, Director of the Office of International Relations Dr. Rami Ali, and Chairman of the Mechanical Engineering Department Prof. Ahmed Al-Salaymeh.
