15 Arab and foreign scholars and intellectuals will gather to take-part at the International Conference: "The Palestinian Cause - Whereto?" at the University of Jordan (UJ) on 8-9 April, 2018.
The conference will be held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince El Hassan bin Talal, who will be delivering a special lecture on Jerusalem.
The 3-day conference coincides with the 70th anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba.
Over the course of 20 sessions, the conference will discuss more than 60 papers presented by academics, researchers, political analysts and legal specialists from the United States, Europe, the Arab region and Jordan.
The conference focuses on four key themes: Jerusalem; the political, legal and economic; heritage and culture; and civic pressure movements and media.
Moreover, several creative youth and institutional initiatives will be presented at the conference that rejects occupation and its repercussions on the Palestinian people.
The conference aspires to offer practical recommendations leading to a clear roadmap of what should be done to further the Palestinian cause and bring about a just solution.
The event will include an art exhibition, featuring the work of 28 local and international artists that depict the Palestinian cause, and challenges and concerns of the Palestinian people, in addition to plays, musical performances, and poetry evenings by famed Arab poets including Tamim Al-Barghouti.
