The Dean of School of Management and Finance at the University of Jordan in Aqaba Dr. Ra’ed Bani Yaseen won Abdul Hameed Shoman Arab Researchers Award for the 2017 in the field of Economic and Administrative Sciences on the Developmental Role of the Knowledge Economy.
The number of scientists and Arabic researchers who have won this award is 419 out 4171 candidates who have applied to the award since it began in 1982.
This award aims to recognise Arabic researchers and experts in various scientific and research fields. Also it aims to contribute to the support of Arab scientific research and its diffusion to increase scientific knowledge and to spread the culture of scientific research.
Dr. Bani Yaseen said this award recognises scientific research with added value to address local, regional and international challenges; in addition to contributing to the dissemination of applied research culture and knowledge.
Dr. Bani Yaseen is an associate professor at the Department of Management Information Systems at the University of Jordan. He is currently Dean of the School of Business at the University of Jordan's Aqaba branch. He received his PhD in Management Information Systems from the University of Nottingham in 2009. He has 150 scientific research published in international scientific journals, he also received the “Distinguished Researcher” award from the University of Jordan for two sessions in 2015 and 2018.
