Municipality Completes Construction on UJ Pedestrian Tunnel

The Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) opened the University of Jordan’s (UJ) pedestrian tunnel Sunday after completing construction to extend it by eight metres, refurbish the tunnel lights and install handrails, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
 
GAM has completed 45 per cent of the Bus Rapid Transport project’s construction on Queen Rania Street, extending from UJ’s traffic lights to the Jordan University Hospital Bridge, Petra reported.
 
The municipality has also completed 75 per cent of construction on the service road facing UJ and reports that it will soon begin installing an electrical pedestrian bridge in front of UJ’s main entrance.
