The University of Jordan (UJ) president, Prof. Abdel karim Al Qudah said that, this year, the University welcomed over 50 thousands new students.

Al Qudah added during a meeting with the new students for the current academic year that the role of teachers has transformed from educators to facilitators.

He encouraged them to seize every opportunity during their time at UJ with commitment and determination to reach their academic goals and move forward to achieve their life aspirations.

The President answered the students’ questions about some aspects relating to the educational process. Moreover, he pointed to the University's determination to find quick solutions to a number of campus problems.

Welcoming the new student, Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Mohammad Sayel Al-Zyoud, pointed out that the Deanship's slogan for the year is "incubator of creativity". The Dean called on the students to engage in the various extracurricular activities organized by the deanship during the academic year.

In celebration of the new students, the University’s Coral presented a musical concert which included music performances inspired by Jordanian and Arab heritage.
