The Center for Water, Energy and Environment at the University of Jordan (UJ) has taken the decision to setup a drinking water production plant.

The decision comes in line with the University's vision and strategic goals to implement pilot projects geared towards achieving the concept of a productive university.

The factory will be established at a high level to guarantee the provision of high quality drinking water in accordance with standard specification for bottled water No. 1214/2018.

The Center, which is accredited by the Jordanian Standards and Metrology Organization, will also implement its own monitoring procedure.

The aim of the proposed plant, which will be settled at the School of Engineering, is to provide an establishment for a theoretical and practical training for students, in addition to providing drinking water at symbolic prices.
