Amazon Delegation Visits UJ, Meets President

The University of Jordan (UJ) President, Prof. Abdull Karim Al-Qudah met in his office on Wednesday a delegation from Amazon to discuss ways of cooperation with the university.
 
The delegation comprised senior employees at Amazon Jordan and Amazon's Customer Services Operations Manager for Jordan and Eygpt Amro Aboul Fotouh.
 
During the meeting, the two parties agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding that allows university students to benefit from the company's services and expertise in several fields, particularly employing graduates from all disciplines, on short and long-term contracts.
 
Al Qudah affirmed that the university is keen to expand its partnership with all institutions for the benefit of graduates who have competencies that qualify them to enter the labor market yet lack the practical experience.
 
In turn, Aboul Fotouh indicated that the MoU will provide students with opportunities for employment and chances to hone their skills. He added that employment opportunities will be provided in the field of customer service for students from all disciplines.
 
The meeting was attended by the Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Muhammad Al-Qatatasheh; Director of the Career Guidance and Alumni Office / King Abdullah II Fund for Development, Dr. Hazar Al-Hamoud; and Director of the Media, Public Relations and Radio Unit, Dr. Jumana Al-Zoubi.
