UJ, Norwegian Embassy Discuss Cooperation Aspects

The University of Jordan (UJ) President, Prof. Nathir Obeidat, on Sunday discussed with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Jordan, Espen Lindback and the accompanying delegation, aspects of cooperation in the academic, scientific, and cultural fields.

The meeting was attended by the Vice President for International Affairs, Quality and Accreditation, Director of the Center for Strategic Studies, Prof. Zaid Eyadat, and Director of the International Affairs Unit, Dr. Hadeel Yaseen.

During the meeting, Obeidat highly valued support provided by the Kingdom of Norway to vital sectors in Jordan, including the health and renewable energy sectors.

For his part, Lindbach affirmed the deep-rooted ties between the two friendly countries, stressing the importance of the King and Queen of Norway's visit to Jordan last year, and expressing keenness to cooperate with UJ in all possible fields.
 
In turn, Eyadat said that UJ is looking forward to building a fruitful cooperation with the Norwegian universities in the field of student, faculty and researchers exchanges, especially in Arabic language learning and environmental and climate change studies.
