An academic cooperation agreement was signed on Monday between the University of Jordan (UJ) and the Electoral Institute of the Independent Election Commission (IEC).
The agreement, signed at the commission's premises, aims to enhance joint cooperation between the two sides and exchange all forms of knowledge and administrative support in the academic field, specifically with regards to the Higher Diploma Program in Electoral Policies and Administration.
The agreement was signed by UJ President Prof. Nathir Obeidat, and IEC Board Chairman Musa Al-Maaytah.
It is worth noting that the Electoral Institute was established with the aim of promoting electoral awareness, consolidating democratic standards amongst students, and building the capacities of personnel involved in the electoral process, locally, regionally and internationally.
