On Saturday, the University of Jordan (UJ) brought down the curtains on its 57th graduation ceremonies. The last day saw the graduations of the cohorts of the schools of medicine, dentistry, and graduate studies, as well as the Centre for Women Studies.

In this regard, UJ President, Prof. Nathir Obeidat, said that this year's wonderful graduation ceremony is special, as it coincides with the 60th anniversary of the founding of the university.

Obeidat pointed out that the university is proud of its past and present, and those who have passed from here, attended its classes, and walked through its hallways.

He added that this University, which is striving to occupy an advanced position in international rankings, has become in the top 600 universities worldwide, and one of the best five hundred universities in fifteen majors.

The president also addressed graduates from Arab, sisterly and friendly countries, and their families, urging them, after they return back to their countries, to be the best representatives for their university.

Before the commencement of the last ceremony, Obeidat honoured senior scholars and faculty members who contributed to the progress of the university and the country, as well as faculty members who received the Distinguished Researcher Award.
