UJ Holds New International Student Orientation Day

The International Program, Alumni and Marketing Unit at University of Jordan (UJ) on Sunday held an orientation day for new international students, to inform them of all procedures and services provided at the university.

On behalf of UJ president, Vice President for Humanitarian Schools, Prof. Salameh Naimat, welcomed the new students to Jordan and the University.

Naimat stressed the importance of this meeting which mainly aims to introduce the university’s procedures, services and facilities, and to introduce Jordan and its landmarks.

During the meeting, the procedures and services provided by UJ were presented. From the Admission and Registration Unit, Zain Al-Hussan gave a detailed explanation of the registration procedures and the course schedules. Moreover, Rana Abdullah from the Financial Affairs Unit explained to the students about financial procedures. From her part, Njoud Al-Debei from the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Center briefed about UJ's postions in international rankings.

Furthermore, Bashar Al-Hammouri from the International Affairs Unit explained to the new students the Unit’s responsibilities towards international students. From the Health Services Department at the Deanship of Student Affairs, Muhammad Al-Lozi, reviewed health care services provided by the university to students, whereas Amal Annaba from the Dormitories Department at the Deanship explained accommodation services provided by the department to female students.
