The University of Jordan (UJ) was listed in the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities 2019 (February Edition). UJ was ranked first in Jordan and among the top 1% in the Arab world.  

The University Ranked 10th in the Arab world from amongst the 1150 Arab universities in the list.

UJ was placed in the top 5% universities worldwide among the 27,764 listed universities.

According to a report by the University's Accreditation and Quality Assurance Center, UJ ranked 303rd at the world level and ninth in the Arab world in terms of the size of its website and its rich content.

The Webometrics Ranking of World Universities is an initiative of the Cybermetrics Lab, a research group belonging to the Consejo Superior de InvestigacionesCientíficas (CSIC), the largest public research body in Spain.

The Lab is devoted to the quantitative analysis of the Internet and Web contents especially those related to the processes of generation and scholarly communication of scientific knowledge.

The ranking relies on four indicators: impact, presence, openness and excellence.
