The University of Jordan (UJ) President Professor Nathir Obeidat met in his office on Monday with the Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of Malaysia in Amman Mohd Nizam Bin Wahab and discussed with him avenues to enhance academic cooperation between the two sides.
Obeidat stressed UJ's keenness to assist all incoming students and follow-up graduates, pointing out that UJ has 55 Malaysian students distributed on the three degree levels in the schools of arts and sharia.
In turn, Bin Wahab praised the efforts of UJ and its role in supporting Malaysian students and identifying all their needs, expressing keenness to strengthening cooperation between UJ and Malaysia in all academic aspects.
The two sides discussed the possibility of receiving new Malaysian students to study in various disciplines, in addition to the importance of building other bridges of cooperation in many areas, such as holding joint academic and cultural activities that contribute to partnership between the two countries.
The meeting was attended by the Director of International Affairs Unit, President Assistant for the International Program and Marketing Affairs and Yasmeen Ma'ani from the embassy.
