6th ICEPUB Activities Commence at UJ

Under the patronage of the University of Jordan (UJ) President Professor Nathir Obeidat, on Tuesday, the activities of the 6th International Conference on Electronic Publishing (ICEPUB) commenced at the University under the title "Digital Transformation and the Changing Culture of Research".
 
The Conference, which is organized by the Library Unit, aims to highlight the impact of digital technology on the role of libraries in scientific research, and the extent of flexibility of these libraries and their ability to continue providing their services, in addition to providing an opportunity for researchers, professionals, developers and publishers to communicate and exchange knowledge and expertise in the field of electronic publishing and its impact on institutions, education, and academic research process as a whole.

 

The Conference will be attended by speakers from the academic and research fields, experts in library science, information technology, media and academic publishing, in addition to leading companies in the field of digital publishing and reputable institutions such as the Association of Arab Universities, UNESCO and Sultan Qaboos University.

 

450 participants from Jordan and abroad including Germany, UK, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia are expected to take part in the conference, knowing that the sessions will be transmitted through Zoom.

 

Keynote speakers includes UJ Vice President for Humanities Faculties Prof. Ahmad Majdoubeh, Dean of Scientific Research Prof. Faleh Sawaeer, Dr. Andrew Cox from the University of Sheffield, General Manager Publishing Solutions at ResearchGate Dr. Sven Fund, Dr. Nabhan Bin Harith AlHarasi from Sultan Qaboos University, Prof. Omar Al Kadi, Professor, Spokesperson for information Literacy at the University of Veracruz Dr. Jesus Lau, Editor-in-Chief of Al Ghad Newspaper Makram Tarawneh.
