Discussing cooperation between UJ and JEA

The President of the University of Jordan (UJ), Prof. Ekhleif Tarawneh stressed the University's keenness to build strategic partnerships with professional associations in Jordan, particularly with regards to the formulation and follow up of plans and programs.
 
Tarawneh added that the University is keen to communicate with the Jordan Engineers Association (JEA) and benefit from the experience of its members as a house of profession, which would contribute to qualifying the Faculty of Engineering graduates and prepare them to enter the labor market firmly and adeptly.
 
This came during a meeting with the President of the Jordan Engineers Association (JEA), Engineer Abdullah Obeidat and members of the JEA Association Council to discuss aspects of cooperation in the fields of science and research.
 
The two sides examined possibility to strengthen cooperation between the Faculty of Engineering and Technology and the Association, through holding joint conferences, seminars and workshops, in addition to providing students training and the development of curricula and study plans at the university.
 
Tarawneh praised the national, social and academic role played by JEA in Jordan, and its continued support for the industry, education and other investment sectors.
 
In Turn, Obeidat welcomed UJ’s initiative and its vision and future aspirations with regards to partnership with the professional associations, which are considered part of the national institutions that have contributed in the progress and prosperity of the national development plans.
 
Obeidat pointed to the JEA’s willingness to support the Faculty of Engineering through the preparation of projects and rehabilitation programs for students to provide them with the necessary experiences and skills.
 
The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Technology, Dean of Student Affairs, Director of Media, Public and Cultural Relations Unit and members of the Jordan Engineers Association.
