UJ Aqaba opens door for direct admissions

Direct admissions into all programmes offered by The University of Jordan in Aqaba is now open to high school graduates in accordance with the minimum competitive admission averages for the current year.

Previous years' high school graduates who were not accepted into a public university are also allowed to apply, said UJ Aqaba President, Prof. Hani Dmour. 

Application begins as of September 16 until September 22 at the UJ headquarters in Aqaba .

 

Dmour said this year student accommodation has been made available for female students . According to him, the student housing is properly furnished and equipped under the agreement signed with the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) and the Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC).

 

Dmour pointed out that the Aqaba branch has witnessed a remarkable growth with nearly 1,500 students this year. In addition, the branch launched a new postgraduate program in marine sciences, and looks forward to starting new medical programs.

 

UJ Aqaba offers key facilities required to secure suitable campus environment for students, such as the Marine Science Station and the SCUBA diving unit. It also offers transportation from and to student accommodation, and has arts, sport, and recreation facilities, a bank, post office, theaters, restaurants, and a library.
