Extremism and terrorism has no religion and extremism is the intellectual incubator of terrorism and a threat to the community and youth, a number of Islamic scholars agreed at a seminar held at UJ on Tuesday.

The seminar, entitled "No to extremism and terrorism", was organized by the Islamic Cultural Center (ICC) at UJ and presented by all of Prof. Bassam Aumosh, Prof. Muhammad Qudah and Senator Dr. Nawal Al-Faouri .

It aimed, according to ICC Director, Prof. Adnan Al Assaf, to spread awareness among students against extremism and terrorism through the development of an intellectual, scientific and religious strategy that consolidates the concept of moderation based on the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh).

The participants also confirmed the need to confront extremist ideology, which only serves to tarnish the tolerant image of Islam, by Seeking knowledge based on legitimate facts and religious awareness, and constructive dialogue.

Vice President, Prof. Musa Lozi and Dean of Students Affairs, Prof. Ahmad Ali Al Owaidi attended the seminar.
