'EGREEN' Kick-off Meeting Concluded

The Kick-off meeting and events of the project 'EGREEN' (Development of Environmental Engineering and Injection of Climate Change Concept for Undergraduates Curriculum) concluded at UJ on Thursday.

 

The meeting comprised of 4 sessions organized over the course of three days.

 

The meeting aimed to introduce the project partners to each other, to present the full project and realize a number of aspects related to the project implementation.   

 

The project is co-funded by the Erasmus+ porgramme of the European Union.


 
EGREEN aims to enable Jordanian Universities face the "environment challenge" by modernizing their 'environment' curricula, and developing and implementing a sustainable B.Sc degree programme.


 
According to Project general Coordinator, Prof. Ahmed Al-Salaymeh, the project involves the participation of four European universities, a Portuguese consulting firm, six Jordanian universities and three Syrian universities.

 

The meeting was attended by Al-Bayt University President, Dia Eddin Arafa; Mutah University President, Prof. Dhafer Saraireh;  National Erasmus+ Office Director, Dr. Ahmad Abu-El-Haija; UJ Vice President, Prof. Omar kafawin, Dean of Scientific Research Prof. Shaher Momani and other UJ officials. Representatives of partner organizations from Jordan, Syria and Europe were also at the meeting.
