The 4th International Conference of the School of Arts convened at the University of Jordan (UJ) on Tuesday with a broad participation from Jordan and the Arab world.
The two-day conference, entitled "Contemporary Trends in Human Studies – Experiences and Approaches", was inaugurated, on behalf of UJ President, by the Vice President Prof. Ahmad Majdoubeh.
In his opening address, Majdoubeh said the conference is part of a remarkable academic movement throughout the School, which includes the organization of a variety of events and the distinctive participation of the school's faculty in the international Erasmus + faculty exchange programme.
Experts and scholars from 15 countries including Algeria, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Turkey, Kuwait and Egypt, in addition to Jordan are attending the conference.
President of the Conference and Dean of the School, Prof. Mohammad Qudah said the conference seeks to achieve a number of objectives, including highlighting the most important historical and contemporary trends in humanities, highlighting the impact of scientific efforts in the service of human sciences, and showing the role of universities and leading scientific institutions in the field of scientific and academic research.
