Scholars said on Wednesday that the Templeton Prize received by His Majesty King Abdullah last month constitutes a bright and distinctive milestone in the history of His Majesty’s march to achieve interfaith harmony, defend the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem and protect religious freedoms.

In a seminar titled “Message of Tolerance and Harmony”, organised by the Faculty of Sharia at the University of Jordan, they pointed out that King Abdullah had worked to consolidate the moderate approach and has a prominent role in spreading the values of tolerance and harmony regionally and globally, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
