UJ, Islamic Religious Council of Singapore Sign MoU

The University of Jordan (UJ) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on academic cooperation with the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS).
 
The MoU was signed by UJ President Prof. Abdul Karim Al-Qudah and MUIS Chief Executive Issa Masoud.
 
The signing ceremony was witnessed by Jordan’s Minister for Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Holy Places, Dr Abdel Naser Mousa and Singapore’s Minister for the Environment and Water Resources and Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs, Mr Masagos Zulkifli.
 
The MoU seeks to initiate cooperation between MUIS and UJ in developing the Postgraduate Certificate on Islam in Contemporary Studies (PCICS). UJ will be developing one of the modules for the PCICS on the topic of contemporary issues in Islam.
 
The MoU also forms a framework for other collaborative academic activities, including exchange of academic staff, joint research activities, participation in joint meetings, and exchange of academic information and materials.
