Minister of Labour Lectures at UJ

Minister of Labour, Nidal Bataineh called on Sunday the unemployed to register with the national employment platform for training and employment opportunities.
 
This came during a seminar organized by the Center of Consultation and Training at the University of Jordan (UJ) under the patronage of Prof. Abdul Karim Al-Qudah, UJ President.

 

He added that the platform is part of the National Employment Charter and in line with the government's plans to increase the employment of Jordanians as priority, particularly in light of limited opportunities.

 

Moreover, Bataineh addressed "Khedmet Watan" programme as a main component of the government's employment programs; which aims to meet the needs of the job market by turning out qualified young cadres.

 

He said that the programme's second batch aims to train 6000 citizens, adding that registration for the 2nd batch began as of the 1st of October and training will begin in November.

 

Bataineh also spoke during the lecture about challenges facing the Country, including   economic and social challenges, and the increasing the number of new entrants to the labor market.
