The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Jordan (UJ) in cooperation with SPARK foundation, Netherlands, held a reception on Sunday attended by establishments, entities and individuals working in the innovation and entrepreneurship sector.
The ceremony, which was patronized by the Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneur Eng. Mothanna Gharaibeh and Minister of Youth Faris Braizat, aimed at networking with young entrepreneurs who founded their startups and logged into the labor market as company owners, contributing to economic growth.
The event also marked the conclusion of a group of activities commenced by the foundation in Jordan in 2016 in collaboration with the Ministries of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Industry and Trade, as well as higher education institutions and civil society organizations in Jordan.
SPARK provided higher (vocational) education opportunities to young people, and internship programme connected to private sector companies, in addition to supporting SMEs to create job opportunities.
