Eight University of Jordan (UJ) alumni were selected among the winners of the 2016 Queen Rania Awards for Excellence in Education (QRAEE), which recognize outstanding school teachers, principals and counselors who have made exceptional contributions to their professions.
Eight out of the ten winners, named Rasha Ragheb Motawe, Hana Mohammed Abu Rumman (PhD student), Fadia Ali Al-Habbaha, Maysa Issa Al-Shabatat, Ali Mohammed Al-Dahamsheh (1998), Wafaa Abdul Rahman Al-Al Ounah, Duaa Husni Ibrahim (2004), and Wassam Ahmed Al-Khatib (1993), have obtained their degrees from UJ.
In a statement to UJ, the winners dedicated and attributed their winning to the University, expressing grateful appreciation for what UJ has offered to them during their higher education learning journey.
Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah honored the winners of the 2016 Queen Rania Awards for Excellence in Education (QRAEE) in a ceremony in December and urged a collective effort by all education professionals in order to strengthen the Kingdom’s learning landscape.
Launched in 2005 by Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania in partnership with the Ministry of Education, QRAEE aims to set a national standard of excellence in teaching, and to celebrate, encourage, and honor those who reach it.
