School of Engineering's First Semester Graduates Celebrated

The School of Engineering on Thursday, February 2, held a ceremony to celebrate 2016-2017 first semester graduates as part of the University of Jordan’s (UJ) 52nd graduation ceremony.
 
400 students from the bachelor's and postgraduate levels marched to receive their degrees in front of their mentors, families and friends.
 
Before handing out the certificates, Prof. Ghaleb Abbasi, the School's dean, delivered a speech in which he expressed his congratulations to the students and wished them a bright future and successful careers.
 
In his speech, Abbasi expressed the School's aspirations to be a leading international engineering school.
 
He told the crowd that the School's chemical, electrical and mechanical engineering programs are now accredited by ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology); expecting that other programs will be ready to apply for the accreditation in the upcoming period.
 
Abbasi urged the graduates to put in hard work and invest in the success factors to achieve success in their lives and reach their career goals.
