The University of Jordan (UJ) President, Prof. Abdul Karim Al-Qudah, on Thursday recognized the winning students of the "Videos from Languages" contest, conducted by the School of Foreign Languages with the support of HUAWEI Jordan.

The winning students are Omar Hammad, Leena Abu Mahfouz, Maram Riyad,  Taleen Hindeileh, Leen Dahabsheh, and Asma Shami.

During the prize-giving ceremony, Al-Qudah praised the originality of the winning videos and the innovative efforts and talents of the students, appreciating HUAWEI's constant support and cooperation with UJ in the IT field.

Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, Prof. Youssef Abu Amrieh, said that the competition was a translation of the UJ's vision to become a space where innovative and creative ideas are welcomed and nurtured.

The competition, which saw the participation of 40 students, aimed to enhance the experience of e-learning. The idea was to produce a short film (under 5 minutes in length) in any language, in which the student expresses, in a creative way, the concept of an academic subject he studied online last semester.

The jury, which included seven teaching members from the school, selected the winners according to the quality of the video, content and output, and novelty of the idea.
The prizes included smartwatches and tablets granted by HUAWEI Jordan.
